In case of new version of CleverPan, do I keep my old settings?

Yes. Nothing you've done is lost when you update.
Sessions.
All CleverPan settings are stored inside your DAW session, not in the plugin binary.
Reopening an old session with a newer CleverPan restores every parameter exactly as you left it.
Mixes stay identical.
When we improve the internal engine, CleverPan detects that an instance comes from an older session and keeps rendering it with the engine it was mixed with.
A session you approved two years ago will sound the same after an update — only new instances use the new engine. This matters on long-form projects that go back for revisions months later.
Your presets and IRs. User presets (.clvp) and analyzed impulse responses live in your own folders on disk.
The installer never touches them.
Your license. Perpetual. Updates don't re-trigger activation.

One direction only: a session saved with a newer CleverPan may not recall correctly in an older version. If a project is shared across machines, keep them on the same version.

IR Analyzer won't open / crashes on launch?

Almost always the same cause: the wrong installer for your Mac's chip. There are two versions — Apple Silicon (M1, M2, M3, M4...) and Intel (Macs from before 2020). Not sure which one you have? Apple menu → About This Mac, the "Chip" or "Processor" line tells you directly.

macOS says "unidentified developer" during install — is that normal?

Yes. It's standard macOS behavior for any app installed outside the App Store — even from the biggest names in audio software. CleverPan is signed and notarized by Apple; if the warning appears, just right-click the file → Open → Open Anyway.

How do I check how many days are left on my trial?

Remaining days are shown right in the User Interface. The counter turns red in the last 3 days so you're never caught off guard mid-session. Whenever your Demo time is over, CleverPan remains silent.

I switched computers — how do I recover my license?

Every CleverPan license covers 2 activations — because your workflow rarely lives on just one machine. Edit on your studio rig, mix on your laptop at 2am: both are covered under one license, no extra charge. Just open the plugin on the new machine, enter the key you received by email, and you're set.

How do I cleanly uninstall CleverPan?

Use the uninstaller included in your download pack — it removes the plugin (AAX/AU), the IR Analyzer, and related files without touching your custom presets or documentation.
